GULF COAST - Following the landfall of Category 2 Hurricane Zeta on October 28, the electrical system has sustained significant damage, causing power outages for more than 481,000 customers.
According to Entergy, damages to the electrical system in the New Orleans area include around 80 transformers, 320 poles, and 350 spans of wire.
Critical infrastructure is being prioritized and power restoration for all customers should be completed within 10 days, the utility reported.
