The organizer of the 2020 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Exposition issued the following statement:
After much consideration and weighing the expertise of health professionals, along with the current government restrictions and company travel policies, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the October 2020 IEEE PES T&D Conference & Exhibition in Chicago.
This wasn't an easy choice, but we are confident it's the right one to ensure the safety of our T&D community and general health of the public. Sensitive to the priorities of our exhibitors and attendees who are dealing with critical issues and the uncertainties ahead, we will let our country heal as we develop an even stronger event for 2022 in New Orleans.
Your existing registration badge will be cancelled and we will also be issuing a refund of the cancellation fee(s) associated with your registration record. You will be contacted via email once the refund has been issued; please allow up to 60 days for processing.
We want to thank you for your patience since our first announcement in March and extend gratitude to everyone who worked so hard to plan a truly remarkable event. We look forward to building on this exciting program for a great IEEE PES T&D experience April 25-28, 2022.
We will be reaching out to all paid registrants and exhibitors to arrange appropriate refunds.
